Ensures Softlines merchandise strategies are developed, planned and executed that support the brand strategy and provide the best value to customers while ensuring the financial needs of the company are met.
Accountable for the Company’s Softlines Departments and for directly managing the Category Managers in assigned categories and departments
Responsible for the development and management of the Softlines merchandising budget and plans for the Softlines area.
Accountable for Softlines sales, inventory turns, gross margin results, and company compliance.
Works with the Planning and Allocation departments to ensure Softlines merchandise maximize each store’s sales potential and inventory productivity to achieve company goals.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
7-10 years of progressive management experience combined with merchandising experience within a multi unit retail environment.
Leadership ability to build an organization that is flexible, able to adapt and respond to a rapidly changing business environment.
A university degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Commerce.
